The below temperature resistances are simplified and refer to the steam temperature when reaching the ironing machine. Usually the steam cools before hitting the clothing (and the ironing cover) and there are intervals between the hot periods when you use the iron or the press is closed and steam streams through the covering. Please avoid to close presses longer than necessary for the pressing cycle (e.g. at working breaks) in order to preserve the ironing covers.
In case you require data about the heat resistance of fibres at permanent direct contact to hot metal surfaces please download a list with physical properties of fibres.
Due to the limited availability of orginal DuPont Nomex® Aramid fibres we can only ensure the continous production of articles which are containing Aramid fibres by using also Aramid fibres from different manufacturers. We are sure that you will not find a change of quality at the V-Max Aramid products.

Used on presses as very heat resistant and formable final cover which does not burn or melt even at high temperature (e.g. wrinkle-free treatment).
The napping offers a surface without textile structure.
Moreover the material becomes thicker almost like a thin felt.
